No Real Retirement Age
Amish people usually start cutting back on their daily lives between the ages of 50 and 70. Their physical condition also dictates this. They typically relocate to a designated grandparent’s home on their family’s land. When older people are in good health, they generally stay at home, and the women in the family take care of them as their health deteriorates.
Baptism
Amish people are baptized into their church between the ages of 16 and 25. Before that, the person is not permitted to marry. They can only marry another member of the same church. Not to mention that it usually occurs quickly. In comparison to other types of Christianity, this is very unique. Since, for the most part, parents decide whether or not to baptize their children. People in the Amish culture, on the other hand, choose whether or not to be baptized into the church. They do not baptize children because they are not of legal age to make such a decision.
