It turns out that the Amish pay the same federal and state taxes as the rest of the country. On the other hand, the Amish is said to not pay Social Security taxes and therefore do not receive compensation.

The Largest Amish Population
People may believe that since the founding family came from Pennsylvania, the state has the largest Amish population, but this does not appear to be the case. In fact, if you move a few hundred miles west of Pennsylvania, you’ll find Ohio, a state that outnumbers Pennsylvania by a few hundred.
