Passengers who land or take off there are frustrated mainly because of the somewhat gloomy atmosphere, the long queues and the limited number of seats. “There are nowhere enough seats for the number of people who use this airport,” wrote one traveler in his review. Another says: “If you want to feel like cattle, welcome. Otherwise you’d better stay away from this airport. ”

In seventh place there is also an English airport in the top ten, which is a “leap” by three places upwards compared to 2015: London Luton is the fourth largest airport in the metropolitan area of the British capital after Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted and is located about 50 kilometers from the center. Although almost only cheap airlines take off here, travelers have to dig deep into their pockets for all possible amenities – the main criticism at Luton Airport. For example, driving into the airport costs money, as does using a suitcase trolley or Wi-Fi. The food at the airport is described as poor, and long queues often form at the various counters and security gates.
