Hobart, Tasmania, is where Jaason Simmons spent his childhood and was born there. Simmons got his start in the acting business at the age of 23, when he was cast in a role on the Australian television series Paradise Beach. After that, in the following year of 1994, Simmons was cast in the part of Logan Fowler on the fifth season of Baywatch.

His most recent role was as Logan Fowler. In 2008, Simmons revealed his sexual orientation to the public and was profiled in the March issue of New Idea alongside his then-fiancé, the Irish actor John O’Callaghan.
