Realization
The incident occurred on a specific day in Australia, when Clapton was alone in his hotel room, with no one else in the vicinity to see it. And he was alone with himself, with his thoughts, agony, and misery, and he was alone with his own thoughts. His realization that he needed to return to the hospital and receive therapy, not only for himself but also for Conor, came at this time. To him, a good relationship with his son, one in which they could bond, was preferable to a relationship in which he was constantly thinking about when he would be drinking his next alcoholic beverage.
Return To Hazelden
It had a sense of déjà vu in the sense that he was returning to deal with his alcoholism issues, but in all other ways, it was an entirely different experience from the previous time around. Instead of having doubts about what had driven him to this location the first time, he was well aware of what had brought him there this time. A number of times he attempted to control his drinking habits, but ultimately failed. As well as help, he needs a big change in his personal and professional life.
