Epiphany
He felt conscious that something had changed within him immediately after making his submission to a higher force. It didn’t matter if it was a shift in thinking or anything else; at least now he had found a place where he could go and feel good about himself. Every morning and every evening, on his knees, he has never missed a single day of prayer in order to express gratitude for everything he has, as well as for his sobriety, over the years.
Hazelden Departure
After leaving Hazelden, Clapton made his way to Lori and Conor’s home in Hurtwood, where he arrived just in time for the holidays. He was well aware that there was a significant amount of work to be done in terms of cleaning up some of the wreckage he had caused; Lori, as well as everyone else, was really supportive throughout the entire process. Although they were in a state of uncertainty at the time, she stayed patient, and things appeared to be improving for the first time in quite some time.
