Ava Gardner
We all know that Ava Gardner has a southern accent, but did you know that MGM considered here incomprehensible back then? Even so, this did not stop them from hiring the talented actress. She worked for five years until she finally got noticed for her work in The Killers. She got to enjoy half a century in Hollywood but suffered health issues. She passed away after a bout with pneumonia.
Hedy Lamarr
There is no way you can deny that Hedy Lamarr is an awesome lady. This woman did not only depict the first female orgasm for the big screen, but she also helped create something useful. When World War Two broke out, she worked on something known as “frequency hopping”, which is very useful when it comes to keeping torpedos under control when there is signal jamming. She is certainly one iconic lady.
