The Brides’ Mothers

Carole Middleton didn’t want the Duchess of Cambridge, her daughter, to be overshadowed on her special day. Her pale blue gown, designed by Catherine Walker, was the perfect shade for the spring wedding. The Mother of the Bride looked overjoyed on Kate’s wedding day. Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, flew in from Los Angeles to express her support for Prince Harry and Meghan. Meghan looked as happy as ever as she married her prince charming in a light green Oscar de la Renta gown.

The Evening Wedding Reception

The evening reception follows each royal wedding. Not everyone who attended the lavish weddings is invited to the evening receptions. Most guests changed into new outfits after the wedding for the magical night, which was not open to the public. Buckingham Palace hosted an evening reception for Prince William and Kate Middleton. The reception for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, on the other hand, was held at Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Hall. Both events included toasts and well wishes to the newlywed couples, as is customary.
