Alleged Abuse
When the trial was going on, the defense claimed that the Anthony family was very dysfunctional. They alleged that George Anthony sexually abused Casey in her youth. Her counsel claimed that this trauma is what made her act in seemingly suspicious ways. They attributed her penchant for lying, partying, and even her overt sexuality to this.
