You’ve most likely heard your cat chattering its teeth, making a quick and intense sound when it saw birds perched by the window. Experts aren’t exactly sure of the reason behind cats doing this, but they’ve got some fair guesses. Some experts suppose that cats produce this sound because they feel frustrated not being able to reach the birds through the window even though they really want to catch them. Other experts think that it’s the cats’ natural instinct as they warm up their muscles to get ready to chase their prey.

Even though it’s certainly disgusting when a cat lifts its tail and sticks its back end into your face, the feline is actually displaying its trust and affection. If a cat lifts its tail, it’s actually opening up to you and being friendly. Thus, in spite of this view not being the most pleasant, this back end presentation can be taken as a compliment!
