We admire just how talented Joaquin Phoenix is. The actor did not have a regular childhood. Even though he was born to American parents, he entered the world in Puerto Rico. At the time, his family had been part of a religious cult known as Children of God and went all over Latin America. He spent his early years with the cult, but this came to an end when the family left the group to settle in Los Angeles in 1978. Some of his siblings entered the entertainment industry when they were still young. Did you know that he chose another name for himself? During his youth, he chose the name “Leaf Phoenix.” You probably remember him from The Master, Her, and Joker.

How can you not be impressed by Anthony Hopkins? The actor has given us some of the most amazing performances in Hollywood in the past! Did you know that he is Welsh and has been dubbed a knight? He ended up moving to California in the ‘90s and decided to stay there. He became an American citizen in 2000, which nearly cost him the title thanks to the renouncement clause in the pledge of allegiance. It was a good thing that he got to keep both of them in the end. In an interview, he said that the decision to get American citizenship had been a “decision of the heart” since the US had been so good to him.
