Before she made it big in Hollywood, Salma Hayek was born in Mexico and has Lebanese heritage through her father. She started her career by appearing in local telenovelas but eventually made her way north of the border. In the ‘90s, she continued to build her portfolio. She only got her citizenship in 2013, however. Despite this, she makes sure to stay in touch with her roots. Once, she explained that she never forgets to acknowledge her origins and teachers her daughter about her culture. We are glad to hear that she has made the effort to teach the child how to speak Spanish, her mother tongue. If you ask us, we think that it is very said how a lot of parents do not do the same thing with their kids.

You probably did not know that his parents gave him the name Chaim Witz. Who would have ever guessed that a rock star was raised on the Israeli coast? In the ‘50s, he started using the name Eugene Klein when the family relocated to New York. After some time, he started using the name Gene Simmons. He is not only a musician but also an actor, composer, TV personality, and record producer. His early life was not easy since the majority of his family from his mom’s side died in concentration camps during the Second World War. He saw a lot of success with his career in the United States as a member of the band KISS. Not everyone gets to be one of the most famous musicians in the world!
