It was a typical, lovely June day. He was keeping an eye on the Kingwood Township Highway on this typical day when he noticed one automobile. The BMW was white. The motorist wasn’t speeding or driving recklessly, but his automobile had dark windows, which was against the law.

Although tinted windows are ubiquitous, their ability to block out light has a limit. It is unlawful if the windows are too dark for people to see through. Officer Patterson chose to stop the car after becoming alarmed by the too-dark windows.
