The deer screams out again, uncertain of its destiny. And, to be honest, we’re a bit worried as well. What is the lioness up to? Is she trying to protect the young deer, or is she simply preparing her food for the kill? We hope it isn’t the latter.

Unfortunately, the fate of the young deer remains unknown. The lioness continues to stroll away with the baby in her jaws; whether he was being taken to safety or his death, we’ll never know. All we can say is offer your prayers for the young one; he will need all the assistance he can get! But if you want a happy ending, here’s another mother lion taking care of a deer!
