The mother lion was perplexed by the small antelope that appeared out of nowhere. New York photographer Gordon Donovan was there during the event: “It was a strange yet beautiful sight to see. I was thrilled about the lions, and when she caught the springbok, I couldn’t wait for the slaughter.”
