When examining the deer, it seems to be just a few days old. The unfortunate creature most likely lost its mother to another predator while she was out searching for food. Thankfully, this lioness has decided to be merciful; otherwise, it would have met the same end. But suddenly she opens her lips wide and the calf begins to bleat!
