Michael Conner Humphreys – Now
Following the film’s release, Humphreys chose against continuing a career in the film industry and instead settled down in Mississippi to have a normal childhood. Between 2005 to 2010, he served in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Iraq on several occasions. After serving in the military, he eventually returned to Hollywood and appeared in the 2011 war film Pathfinders: In the Company of Strangers.

Since then, Humphreys has led a very normal life as a teacher; although, he maintains that he would like to return to acting at some point in the near future.

Oh, Dan, Lieutenant of the Army. Your deformity didn’t take away from your endearing qualities or the way your character evolved. Gary Sinise, who played Lieutenant Dan Taylor, began his career in the more traditional form of theater. However, he came to the notice of Hollywood after playing a leading role in the 1992 film adaptation of the book Of Mice and Men, which he also had a hand in directing.

As a result of this achievement, Sinise was able to land a role in Forrest Gump, which we are very grateful for because he played Lieutenant Dan better than anyone else could have.
