Since his relatively minor appearance in the film Forrest Gump, Sam Anderson has acted in much more significant parts in films such as Water for Elephants. The movie “Water for Elephants” is one of these movies. He is also well-known for the noteworthy roles he has played in television programs, most notably the part of Barnard Nadler in the show Lost, which has received a lot of positive feedback from critics.

Despite the fact that he is far into his seventies, it appears that he has no intention of retiring from performing, whether in cinema or on television. This holds true regardless of the medium.
Afemo Omilami as the Drill Sergeant
When Forrest initially enlisted in the Army, he and all of the other recruits were instructed by a Drill Sergeant that was played on the program by Afemo Omilami. This character was quite strict with the new soldiers. Even though it was a relatively small part, any anyone who has served in the armed forces will tell you that the drill sergeant is the person most responsible for molding an individual into the soldier they will become.
