Though fencing isn’t generally a sport that strikes many people’s attention, Ibtihaj Muhammad has been making it a must-watch at the Olympics since she competed in 2016. It was at this Olympic games that Muhammad became the first female Muslim-American to win an Olympic medal! Her team won a bronze medal for fencing. Muhammad later had a Barbie styled after her, which is a pretty awesome and big deal. The photo below was shot at Glamour’s 2017 Women of the Year Awards.

Jen Kessy

Jen Kessy was a star volleyball player at The University of Southern California before becoming a very accomplished professional on the beach voleyball courts. Kessy and her partner April Ross won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics. Jen Kessy and her husband Andy Ces, who is also a professional beach volleyball player, have two daughters together.
