Mateus Asato
Despite not yet having his own record out, this extraordinary six-string virtuoso has become a household name thanks to his popular Instagram videos. Mateus Asato is a Brazilian guitarist from Campo Grande who currently resides in Los Angeles. Since then, the Brazilian guitarist, who is renowned for his incredible chord-melody arrangements, has toured as a session guitarist with a variety of pop performers.

Three guitarists make up the progressive metalcore/djent band Periphery, one of whom is Jake Bowen. The group received a 2016 Grammy Award nomination for Best Metal Performance for the song “The Price Is Wrong.” Jake Bowen is the nephew of Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci, which is a fascinating tidbit. Most of you, we wager, were unaware!
