Loretta Young
Born Gretchen, Loretta Young started appearing on screens when she was just 4 years old. She acted in numerous movies and television work, and received countless awards for her work. Her show The Loretta Young Show, which earned her three Emmy awards, was originally broadcast between 1953 and 1961, making it the longest-running primetime network program that was hosted by a woman until then. When she retired from show business she dedicated her life to philanthropy and charity causes.
