Grace Kelly
Grace Kelly is a well-known icon even though she was actually only in the industry for around five years before she married the Prince of Monaco, Prince Rainier III. Her elegance and beauty, as well as her outstanding acting and dancing skills, made her one of the biggest Hollywood stars of all time. Once she became a princess she retired from acting and devoted herself to philanthropy and promotion of the arts. Tragically she died when she got a stroke while driving which resulted in an awful car crash. Luckily, her daughter, who was with her in the car, survived.
Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn is known as the epitome of sophistication with her elegant beauty and style. It was her role opposite Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday that really propelled her into the spotlight as well as earning her a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award! After she had many other major roles in classic films such as in My Fair Lady and Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Hepburn retired from acting and focused on humanitarian and philanthropic work for which she was also awarded honors. You just have to look at how well-known Audrey Hepburn still is today to know how influential she was in the industry and on pop-culture in general. Sadly, in 1993, Hepburn died from a rare form of abdominal cancer.
