The Witches
In 1990, The Witches was produced as an adaption of the beloved Ronald Dahl Novel. Once again this story will return to theatres in 2020, starring Anne Hathaway. Warner Brothers director Robert Zemeckis’ will direct and co-write the film, and plans to stick more to the material from the original novel than the 1990 film did. Hathaway will star alongside actors Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci, Chris Rock, Jahzir Bruno, Codie-Lei Eastick, and Simon Manyonda. Child’s Play
In June 2019 Lars Klevberg resurfaced the 1988 classic Chucky doll in a remake of Child’s Play. In this version, the dark edge has settled down and Chucky the murderous doll is featured as a doll with all its safety protocols turned off. Essentially, Chucky acts as an AI robot, similar to a walking Alexa to modernize it for you. The problem, the movie is not as scary as intended Sorry to disappoint you horror fanatics, but this Chucky rendition is not as terrifying as its predecessor.
