From Wedding Dress To A Perfect Prom Dress
This young lady was able to wear her mother’s red wedding gown to her own prom, which was a bright red shade that looked great on both of them. Wedding gowns aren’t always white, as you may have heard. With her 1840 marriage to Prince Albert, Queen Victoria appears to have set the bar. Previously, wedding gowns were usually designed in whatever color was popular and stylish at the time. The color red was a popular choice.
Turning It Up A Notch In Style
Mom wore this black collared gown to prom in 1996, as seen on the left. Her daughter wore it to her 2016 prom, as seen on the right. Both ladies looked stunning, and their distinct styles brought out different aspects of the gown. Mom wore it with an updo and a corsage, while her daughter added a serious punk edge to the look with her bold hair color and jewelry.
