When Sarah received a letter in the mail, she had just about decided to give up. It was a letter of warning from her landlord. She was already two months behind on her rent, and he threatened to evict her if she didn’t pay this month. It was the last straw, and she realized she had to take action.

The following day she went to her hometown, where there was a jewelry store. Although the shop was lovely, Sarah felt very out of place. She placed the necklace on the counter at the front desk after quietly approaching it. The worker scowled. “Can I help you, miss?”
