The Niagara River received a massive amount of water as a result of the glaciers melting. In the beginning, the falls didn’t exist. A long period of time passed before the falls we see today were formed by the erosion of the cliffs.

Nowadays, Niagara Falls is a natural border between two similar yet very different countries: Canada and the United States. While they have been visited by many people from all over the world, it’s not known just how long ago visitors began going there. Perhaps it was a thousand years ago, or maybe it was earlier than that?
