In an interview, Reba McEntire recalled how her father was not reluctant to voice his opinion related to her choice of outfit. The father asked her if she made a mistake and was wearing it backward. One fun fact was that the legendary red dress could be found on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
