Hand Grenade
While cleaning out their garage, a mom and son discovered an unexploded hand grenade. The military had to be in charged to eliminate the grenade safely. Later, they discovered out that the weapon had no fuse, and that the explosives had been excluded a long time ago. All the same, it gave them a big scare when they saw it. The house was occupied by a 91-year-old lady whose now-deceased and partner was a WWII veteran. When it was seen, the shell still had its pin attached, and the entire area was cordoned off and abandoned by the police while it was being investigated.
Secret Spy Stash
It’s not an ordinary experience when you discover out a secret agent had been residing in your house. It’s even more surprising that you find out that the undercover agent was an elderly lady. One family noticed all this out when they were restoring their home. They came over a stash of spy-related things that you’d expect from a film or a video game.
Along with a machine gun, they also got a classified photo of Berlin after the attack of WWII, as well as communications from the War Office and Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Eileen Burgoyne was turned out to be the spy who was 98 when she passed away. She served as a shadow agent through Germany, Gibraltar, Spain, and Africa. After WWII, she was used and was probably essential to the Cold War effort.
