Jonathan blinked in shock before backing away from the larger dog, who was still plainly frightened by the presence of the “monkey,” Jonathan groaned in exasperation as it became apparent that the animal he had discovered in the woods was not a puppy. Was that indeed a monkey? What had he possibly done?

Jonathan hoped in silence that a veterinarian would be able to clarify the problem as he closed his eyes. There had been a change in plans, but despite nodding his head, he remained focused on the road ahead. He would begin by consulting a veterinarian! It was obvious that animal identification had to come first. Fortunately, she accepted to give birth to him.
