If it was neither an animal nor a natural occurrence, one possibility remained. Humans. The big concern was why someone would venture into the middle of the forest and abandon a small puppy. However, was that a monkey? Even though Jonathan had numerous unanswered questions, he was clear that something needed to be done.

Going For A Walk
As a temporary confinement, he carefully placed the puppy inside the cover of his travel bag. He still had a considerable distance to travel before reaching his vehicle, but at least for the time being, the small animal was safe and sheltered from any dangerous animals in the vicinity.
