Not Caring About Soccer (AKA Football)
Nobody has to guess where you’re from if the game is on and everyone cares except you. Our disinterest in what appears to be a global pastime distinguishes us in a crowd, as does our insistence on using the term “football” to describe a game in which only one person per team gets to put his foot on the ball. We’re not suggesting it’s bad or right to not be glued to the TV during a soccer game, simply that you’ll stick out if you are.
