That was not the end of the story, however. After they welcomed a pair of kids into the family, Kevin and Nicole wanted the whole world to learn of their journey. They continue to advocate for the legalization of surrogacy in the state of New York and everywhere else. They started working with reproductive specialists and legislators to improve the situation. Kevin stated, “We are happy that our story went public to help others in the time of need.” It is nothing short of admirable that they have been so honest and transparent about their experience.

There is no way that Kevin and Nicole could take for granted the kindness that Lianna showed them. If it were not for her, they would never have achieved a happy family. Nicole hopes women in the same position know they can ask for help and find a surrogate, that the trouble will be worth it. “There are people out there, like Lianna, that will do it out of kindness. It’s easier to find them than it seems. It’s never the end of the road,” she said. To this day, the couple keeps fighting for surrogacy legalization. More power to them!
