A Double Whammy
There is no doubt that trappers will often find odd things in their traps. John is not the first person that encountered strange things from the traps he set. One trapper once found two baby pigs in his trap. This situation is called a double whammy, and this is a very rare sight!
These little animals had been attacking the community gardens and crops. If they happen to keep going, they would have somehow destroyed everything. We all know that it is hard to get rid of freeloaders when they finally find food.
Bear Trapping
Small animals can be annoying, but how about big ones? There are times that trappers set a trap for a coyote but ended up catching an angry and violent bear instead. This is harder to deal with and more dangerous than catching small animals. Imagine trying to deal with an agitated hurt bear.
The bear was aggressive and upset but they know that they need to do something about it. It’s very similar to John’s case but we can almost agree that this is in fact more dangerous. Because of this, they need to call conservation officers to ask for an additional hands to make it safer.
