A B-Movie
Even though audiences loved The Three Stooges movies, critics and studio executives still considered them B movies. As a result, they frequently had to take shortcuts and use sets from other movies. Not only did they use sets from other productions, but they also used props and entire wardrobes.
Shaved His Head For A Part
Since a studio executive didn’t think Curly looked funny, he had to shave his head (despite the fact that his thick mop of hair and handlebar mustache sounded pretty funny to us) in order to land a role. However, he felt shame about his shaved head because he thought women wouldn’t find him attractive. He started constantly hiding his head under a hat. While on the road, his anxiety prompted him to overindulge in food and drink, and by the middle of the 1940s, his weight had become a serious health issue.
