The time he spent with his son and his mother during those first few years of sobriety was some of Clapton’s most cherished memories. The experience was the closest Eric has ever been to experiencing “normal” Conor, a handsome young man with long blond hair and brown eyes, had captured his heart and he was head over heels in love. He made reference to old images of his Uncle Adrian as a child, who appeared to be an exact match for Clapton’s nephew Conor. Conor was a curious, adorable, and loving little kid who learned to walk by the time he was one year old and had a wonderful personality.

Parenting Didn’t Come Naturally
Although Clapton had a long and distinguished career in the music industry, he did not naturally gravitate toward the role of father or father figure. The truth is that he was simply a man-child attempting to care for a youngster. With regard to her parenting responsibilities, Lori took the initiative and performed an excellent job. Due to his inexperience as a father, Eric used to just sit back and watch Conor play soccer. He was an incredibly bright young man who was adored by every member of his family for his extraordinary abilities.
