Heikegani Crab
This 4-centimeter crab comes with a carapace that looks a lot like the face of an angry samurai! Amusing Planet said that this face comes from the souls of the Heike clan, who were killed in a battle back in 1185. This is a prime example of pareidolia, in which people spot faces in places they do not exist.
Lowland Streaked Tenrec
If you are a Pokémon fan, you might agree with us that this creature can pass for an electric-type rodent one. Lowland streaked tenrecs live in Madagascar. Scientists have found 37 different species of the animals on the island. Five or so have hedgehog-like spines that likely kept them safe from predators.
