The Sound Of Music (1965)

One of the well-loved plays (and films) in history, The Sound of Music stars Julie Andrews as Baroness von Trapp. The Baroness was a nun who came to an Austrian military official’s household to be a governess. The story is about how she forms a bond with the children, starts a romance with their father, and becomes a Baroness. It also details how the family escapes from Austria when the Nazis are closing in as Baron von Trapp was resistant to German rule. Robert Wise directed the movie, which was released in 1965.
