Bonnie and Clyde (1967)

Bonnie and Clyde have definitely captured the American mind. Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty played the criminal couple in this Arthur Penn biographical film. Released in 1967, the film was called a “brutal crime romp” by Empire, who also said the lead actors’ performances were “charismatic.” At the time, the movie received a lot of criticisms for its violence and how it depicted the nitty-gritty life of the couple, but later generations have realized its worth. The film brought home an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
