The Untouchables (1987)

Robert De Niro plays a mobster like a boss. Case in point: he played the role of Chicago mobster Al Capone really well. In The Untouchables Capone is pitted against Prohibition agent Eliot Ness (portrayed by Kevin Costner). The movie also stars Sean Connery, who plays the Irish-American cop Jimmy Malone that teamed up with Ness in order to take down the infamous gangster of the bootleg era. Eliot Ness himself wrote the story of The Untouchables in part, but Oscar Freely and David Mamet adapted the story into a screenplay. Sean Connery won an Academy Award for his performance in the film.
