Rocketman (2019)
The moving biographical film Rocketman centers around musician Elton John’s life. Written by Lee Hall and directed by Dexter Fletcher, the movie stars Taron Egerton as John and had been in development for quite a while before Focus Features picked it up. Originally, Elton John himself executive-produced the film but due to creative differences between the famous singer and Focus led to another producer. Rocketman cleaned up awards at the Oscars, SAG Awards, BAFTAs, and Critics’ Choice Awards.

Ride Like A Girl (2019)
In 2015, Michelle Payne became the first female jockey who won the famous horse-racing tournament Australian Melbourne Cup. Ride Like a Girl shows her journey, including all the hurdles that she had to overcome (figuratively and literally) as a woman in a sport that is male-dominated. This movie is available on Netflix and stars Teresa Palmer as Payne. Payne’s father is racehorse trainer Paddy Payne (portrayed by Sam Neill in the film).
