The Irishman (2019)
The Irishman had big names attached to it, including Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Bobby Cannavale, and Ray Romano. Based on Charles Brandt’s book, “I Heard You Paint Houses”, the film tells the (allegedly) true story of Jimmy Hoffa’s fate. This Martin Scorsese feature was both produced and financed by Netflix. Cutting-edge de-aging technology was pioneered to tell this epic, spanning over half a century. Even Oscar-winning actor Joe Pesci came out of retirement to co-star in this film.
The Haunting Of Sharon Tate (2019)
The Manson Family murders are really infamous. Actress Sharon Tate and a number of other people were murdered by Charles Manson and his family. Former Disney star Hilary Duff starred as Tate in this film, which tells the true story (along with fictional elements) of the gruesome murders in 1968. The Haunting of Sharon Tate is a combination of truth and premonitions since Duff’s Tate has visions of being murdered by the Family. The film was released by Saban Films in 2019. Daniel Farrands wrote, directed and produced the movie.
