Erin Brockovich (2000)

Erin Brockovich won Julia Roberts an Academy Award. The film is about the Anderson v. Pacific Gas and Electric, which was a case filed by the then-lowly law clerk Brockovich. From her investigation, she discovered that her town’s (Hinkley, California) water was getting polluted because of a major corporation. People from Hinkley were becoming sick and dying because the drinking water was contaminated by hexavalent chromium. In the film, Brockovich fights to make people in power take her seriously and get them to take a stand against a heartless corporation to save lives which were seen less valuable than profit.

The Crown (2016)

The role of Queen Victoria or the Queen Mother as she is called was cast to Marion Bailey in season 3. A genuinely fascinating character that is for sure and one that is difficult to portray.  However, the show has, of course, been dramatized heavily in certain aspects to make it more appealing and still a series. Thus, specific events were not made to be as big a deal as we see in the series, rather dramatization is what has kept the public entertained and still portrayed the royal family.
