A Style Icon
Boyd’s style became an inspiration for young ladies all around Britain, as is typically the case with top models. “Their purpose is to seem childishly youthful [and] naively innocent, and it requires more sophistication to figure out that look than those early would-be sophisticates ever thought of,” Mary Quant remarked of the style in 1966.
Her Famous Man
Boyd met George Harrison while she was at the height of her stardom. His band, The Beatles, were at the top of the charts at the time and was sweeping over the globe in what was known as “Beatlemania.” She first met Harrison when The Beatles were filming their movie A Hard Day’s Night in 1964. They clicked right away and felt they had a future together.
