A Master at Improvising
Tom Cruise is a well-known movie star, but he is also a very skilled improviser. In “Risky Business,” a movie that highlighted his acting skills as a young actor, his improvisational abilities were on full display. Cruise’s famous dance skills were fully improvised in one legendary sequence, creating an unforgettable moment. It’s interesting to note that the sequence was unscripted, and Cruise only had the moonwalk in mind for the audition. Director Paul Brickman thought it would be the ideal start for his character’s first contact with Rebecca De Mornay’s character, who lived next door, because he performed it so brilliantly.
The Sexiest Man
Over the course of his career, Tom Cruise has won a great deal of accolades. He was named the sexiest man alive by People Magazine in 1986, and he also won the Golden Globe for best actor’s performance in a motion picture. He received the “Man of the Year” award from the Hasty Pudding Club in 1994. This organization is well known for its yearly drag show featuring Harvard males. Cruise showed off his knack for making a spectacular entrance by accepting the award in a bra and heels.
