Unquestionably one of the most adored animated movies of all time, “Aladdin” took inspiration from a variety of sources during its development, as did many other Disney works. In reality, animators have acknowledged using Tom Cruise’s face as a model for Aladdin, the movie’s central character. His charismatic demeanor was just as inspiring to them as his outward appearance. Cruise was the perfect choice to play the charming and daring lead character in “Aladdin” because of his action-packed roles in movies like “Top Gun.”
