The award was for his portrayal of an openly gay student called Julian Mitchell in the ‘30s. Over the course of his career, he played a lot of bad boys. He also released a song called Generation of Loneliness, although his attempt to go into the music industry had not been all that successful. Despite this, he was still a hot commodity in the world of celebrities. In 1997, he won a Golden Globe and yet another BAFTA for his performance in My Best Friend’s Wedding.

The truth is that there is nothing wrong with the way that he now looks. Sure, he does not look as fresh as he used to, but this is only natural. He continues to star in various projects such as Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. It is also worth noting that Rupert Everett has since become a writer with one novel and two memoirs to his name. He has always been vocal about social and political issues such as same-sex marriage and the decriminalization of prostitution. It definitely feels like he is a Renaissance guy!
