Kathleen Turner Then
In the ‘80s, actress Kathleen Turner might as well have been the queen of Hollywood. She is best known for delivering great performances in The War of the Roses, Prizzi’s Honor, Peggy Sue Got Married, Romancing the Stone, and more. She shot to stardom thanks to her dazzling good looks and husky voice. There was no one else who could play the femme fatale better! In that decade, she brought home a Golden Globe award and got nominated for an Oscar.
Kathleen Turner Now
Her career slowed down for reasons outside of her control. In the ‘90s, it was revealed that Kathleen Turner had rheumatoid arthritis that caused her a lot of pain. She even had to use a wheelchair because of the condition. Her fans had been critical of her medication as she gained weight and suffered from bloating because of it. Unfortunately, the actress was edged out of the limelight and started to earn smaller roles. In recent years, her arthritis has gone into remission. This has allowed her to take on guest roles in projects such as Californication, Friends, and Nip/Tuck.
